Being the co-founder of red Planet Ventures (a space theme design company) Jim provided the referral to design a new headquarters and testing and assembly building at the Mohave Air Base. Large sky bound aircraft needed to fit within the building and access hanger doors.
Warehousing
Working with Los Angeles General Service and Cushman & Wakefield our job was to remodel for their use an industrial property for office and Police car storage. This includes a large metal canopy for services on the rear of the building. This project is tied to the 6th Street bridge area replacement.
This 14,000 s.f. TI was a total redesign for a home insurance company. Each department all the way to each trash can was noted. In the end they said everything worked out as designed with no changes. Even the moving plan was tied down to speed up the move in. The site was where Peter Ueberroth ran the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics from. We also had a tennis court which we converted to a new warehouse sitting on top of the existing court.
We converted existing attic space into storage area as well as made a new opening in exterior tiltup walls for windows 6'-6" wide x 9'-0" high.
